Ingredients

2 cups of water or low-sodium chicken stock

2 cups red potatoes with skins on, chopped

½ cup diced carrots

½ cup diced celery

¼ cup unsalted butter

¼ cup flour
-
¼ tsp. ground black pepper

½ tsp. OTSS Ground Devil’s Backbone

2 cups milk
-
2 ½ cups shredded cheddar & monterey jack cheese

1 15 oz. can cream style corn
-
1 4 oz. can diced green chiles
-
2 cups diced or cubed ham
Directions
Simmer potatoes, carrots, celery and onion in water or stock for about 10 minutes or until tender.
In a small saucepan, melt butter and add flour, pepper and Ground Devil’s Backbone seasoning. Then slowly add in milk and cook until thickened. Add cheese blend.
Add sauce to vegetables.
Stir in corn, green chiles and ham.
Heat through, but don’t boil.
To Serve, spoon into bowls and garnish with a pinch of shredded cheese.
