Our Favorite Spice Blends to Add to Vegetables
One of the most fun things about our herbs and spices is blending them together to make new and delicious flavor combinations! With our blends, you get an endless number of possibilities. Here are a few of our favorite spice blends to add to your fried, baked, or fresh vegetables:
- Jalapeño Everything Bagel Seasoning - Made with jalapeño, poppy seed, salt, sesame seed, minced garlic, and minced onion, this blend makes a great addition to baked potatoes!
- Beach House Blend - Take a little trip to Hawaii with this versatile island-inspired blend! A balance of tart and savory make this seasoning perfect for sprinkling over veggies on the grill.
- Ground Devil’s Backbone - One pinch of this blend will spice up any vegetable! The heat of habañeros and other chiles play off toasted savory spices to make an irresistible complement to fresh vegetables.
- Mediterranean Herb - This Greek-style seasoning is great on roasted zucchini and bell peppers.
- California Garlic Pepper - Savory, salty, and a little bit sweet, this blend is a great addition to your favorite grilled or fresh vegetables.
Make a Summer Salad!
Salads made with fresh ingredients from the garden are one of our favorite things to eat in the summer! What makes a salad great? The dressing of course! A good salad dressing brings all of the flavors of a fresh salad together. Making homemade salad dressing is easy! All you need is a little bit of oil, vinegar, and delicious spices. Some of our favorite spices to use in salad dressings include:
- Black Garlic Cloves - Black Garlic is a type of caramelized garlic first used as a food ingredient in Asian cuisine. Sweet and potent with hints of balsamic vinegar or tamarind. Combine mashed black garlic cloves, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and salt and pepper for a black garlic vinaigrette.
- Tuscan Tomato Oil Dip - Combine red wine vinegar, Tuscan Tomato Oil Dip, and olive oil for a delicious Italian vinaigrette. It’s great on a salad full of carrots, tomatoes, onions, and radishes.
- High Peaks Seasoning - This savory spice blend made with salt, shallots, black pepper, parsley, coriander, dill weed, and chives is perfect combined with mayonnaise, sour cream, and white vinegar to make a delicious homemade ranch dressing!
